About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Review management system manuals and associated documentation for compliance with requirements and applicable codes and/or standards
Plan, schedule and conduct initial, surveillance and re-certification audits
Prepare and maintain audit logs and all other required documentation
Prepare and issue reports and recommendations for certification
Lead introductory and closing meetings at client facilities
Maintain audit independence without involvement in business development activities
Perform additional program-specific roles and responsibilities defined in each program procedure
Report to the Technical Manager
Work without direct reports

Requirements

What you’ll need

Professional education or training equivalent to university level and a minimum of three (3) years of experience related to Management Systems
Completed and approved Lead Auditor Course according to ISO9001 and/or ISO45001 and/or ISO14001
Completed EMS and H&S Legislation training courses for ISO14001 and ISO45001 qualification, minimum duration 24 hours for each
Ability to identify, analyze and propose solutions to problems
Ability to communicate orally and in writing
Ability to work well with others
Ability to obtain a working knowledge of the ABS Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental Management Systems
Former experience in second- or third-party audits on behalf of a Certification Body is desirable
