About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage multiple immersive training projects, ensuring on-time, in-scope, and on-budget delivery
Direct cross-functional teams, set priorities, and ensure project deadlines and quality standards are met
Allocate resources based on team capacity and project demands
Design and recommend development tools and processes to improve internal and outsourced development efficiency
Establish engineering best practices and manage technical partnerships
Provide primary technical support to internal and client users
Ensure training content is accurate, relevant, and tailored to target audiences
Collaborate with facilitators, trainers, and operational teams to integrate immersive training into existing programs
Oversee deployment of immersive technologies, including hardware setup, software integration, and user onboarding
Monitor and resolve technical or logistical implementation challenges
Develop metrics and evaluation frameworks to measure team effectiveness and efficiency
Monitor emerging technologies and best practices to enhance team capabilities

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
7+ years of experience in learning and development, including at least 3 years in a leadership role
Proven experience designing and delivering immersive training solutions, including VR, AR, and simulations
Strong track record of managing cross-functional teams and delivering complex projects
Deep understanding of immersive technologies and their application in training environments
Proficiency in multiple programming languages, tools, and platforms for immersive content creation, including C++, C#, Unity, and Unreal Engine
Understanding of computer graphics, animations, modeling development, and use in immersive learning
Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Experience with international teams
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Problem-solving ability for complex technical challenges
Experience in maritime, energy, or other high-risk sectors preferred
Familiarity with compliance and safety training requirements preferred
