About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Consult with clients on system implementation, data requirements, training requirements, and project schedules
- Identify and itemize business process needs requiring system adaptation
- Construct specifications for system modifications and additional functionality
- Act as liaison between clients, account management, and product development
- Manage consulting projects within schedules and budgets
- Train clients’ personnel on software functionality
- Perform product system installations in client offices and vessels
- Assist product support with technical issues by telephone or on-site
- Lead and assist internal ABS employee training
- Participate in final-phase testing of new system functionality
- Maintain and update projects in the project management system
- Map client business processes and develop, recommend, and implement process changes
- Liaise with ABS on data transfer between ABS applications
- Provide training, guidance, and leadership to non-Senior Consultants
- Report to a manager, director, or executive-level position; no direct reports
Requirements
What you’ll need- A minimum of a bachelor’s Degree or the equivalent in work experience and training
- A minimum of 5 years of experience is preferred
- Experience with wide area networking and telecommunications
- Experience in the marine or offshore industry
- Expertise in at least one software area, such as maintenance, purchasing, or installations
- Ability to learn the ABS Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental Management Systems
- Regular travel of 50%+ to client sites
- Ability to work in a remote/hybrid arrangement with frequent client-site travel
