About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the College’s expert on membership categories and corresponding criteria
- Maintain accurate data, process membership applications, and generate reports using Salesforce/Fonteva
- Assist with planning and executing member recruitment initiatives
- Support ongoing member retention efforts
- Organize and attend conference calls and meetings
- Prepare meeting materials, minutes, and action items, and follow up with staff or member work groups
- Develop, implement, and update the annual recruitment/marketing plan
- Define key measures of recruitment success
- Engage external partners and stakeholders to support member recruitment
- Plan and implement logistics for committee meetings and Annual Meeting events
- Support the annual Convocation ceremony
- Ensure recruitment strategy and operational plans align with the College mission
- Perform other duties supporting member recruitment activities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of progressive experience in association management, nonprofit, or healthcare industry; graduate level degrees may be considered in lieu of experience
- Proven experience developing and supporting committee/council/group activities, including meeting materials and follow-through
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including grammar, spelling, and proofreading
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects with minimal supervision
- Ability to complete assignments and duties in a timely manner
- Diplomatic communication skills with members, member leaders, and staff leaders
- Adaptability and flexibility in challenging and changing circumstances
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Ability to work effectively in a team and matrix environment
- Flexibility for early morning or late evening conference calls when necessary
- Ability to travel 1–2 times per year
- Knowledge of, or ability to learn, the educational and training track required to become a cardiologist and career options within the profession
- Experience with Salesforce/Fonteva CRM
- Experience in the healthcare industry or nonprofit association
- Bilingual (Spanish)
