About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the primary strategic and operational advisor to Chapter Presidents, Governors, and volunteer leaders
  • Support Chapter administration, member programming, annual budgeting, tax preparation, and other Chapter activities
  • Develop annual priorities, work plans, budgets, and programs aligned with ACC and Chapter strategic goals
  • Oversee Chapter governance, financial operations, compliance, contracts, and organizational records
  • Identify operational challenges and recommend solutions to strengthen Chapter performance and sustainability
  • Represent ACC National at Board of Governors, Chapter, and national meetings
  • Serve as the primary staff liaison between ACC and Chapter Executives
  • Schedule monthly Chapter Executive meetings and plan at least two in-person meetings annually
  • Support the logistics and on-site management of two in-person BOG meetings and one annual virtual meeting
  • Oversee recruitment and selection of new Chapter Executives, including requests for proposals, interviews, evaluation, contracting, transition planning, and organizational continuity
  • Lead the annual Chapter Section Grants program, including applications, review, selection committee support, award communications, progress reports, fund distribution, and outcome evaluation
  • Advise BOG members, Chapter Executives, and Chapters through email, phone, and mail inquiries
  • Provide guidance and resolution for Chapter Membership questions, policies, and operational issues
  • Collaborate with staff across the College on member-driven initiatives
  • Direct operational planning and logistics for several large meetings annually
  • Advance engagement for Fellow in Training and Early Career member categories
  • Lead strategic projects and process improvements that strengthen Chapter operations, governance, and member engagement
  • Develop tools, resources, and operating standards for ACC-managed Chapters
  • Analyze Chapter trends, operational data, and stakeholder feedback
  • Represent Chapter Affairs with senior volunteer leaders, members, partners, vendors, and internal stakeholders

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 7+ years experience in association or nonprofit management
  • Strong skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SurveyMonkey
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to complete assigned tasks within established deadlines
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • 15% travel required
  • Health care association experience, preferred
  • Membership database administration experience, such as Salesforce, preferred
