About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Receive and review invoices and obtain appropriate approvals where necessary
- Create weekly payment proposals based on cash flow and payment necessity
- Process approved invoice payments
- Maintain accounts payable subledger records and vendor information
- Clear vendor payments against bank statements
- Manage the accounts payable email inbox and respond to internal and vendor inquiries
- Monitor corporate credit card and employee expense policy compliance
- Reconcile corporate credit card charges and identify fraudulent or improper usage
- Reconcile accounts payable details to the general ledger
- Process inventory receipts and reconcile prepaid inventory
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Operate autonomously within guidelines set by the VP of Finance
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration
- 3 to 4 years of accounting experience
- Minimum of 2-3 years of prior accounts payable experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Thorough understanding of accounts payable functions
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and follow-up skills
