About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support global air consulting project workstreams across multiple clients
  • Lead smaller regional engagements
  • Complete multi-workstream engagements and prioritize client requests and objectives using project management methodologies and tools
  • Create deliverables within established engagement scope, quality standards, and time frames
  • Develop hypotheses and identify data to evaluate based on client needs
  • Develop options and alternatives and create insightful recommendations in the context of the total engagement
  • Distill complex subject matter into key messages for team members and clients
  • Understand client organizations and dynamics
  • Build strong working relationships with key partners
  • Use American Express Global Business Travel and available industry tools and solutions to develop best-in-class results and standard processes
  • Focus on corporate air program strategy design and execution

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Air/travel experience is required
  • Proven experience and understanding of the airline industry
  • Ability to accommodate client travel up to 20%
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
  • PMI certification is a plus
  • Relevant experience within air travel, such as with an airline, procurement, or strategic sourcing
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to evaluate alternatives and recommend solutions
  • Strong communication skills; ability to build a story and deliver it in a presentation
  • Ability to interact effectively with people at all levels within a team or client organization
  • Understanding of airline pricing/inventory management
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools and reporting, such as Tableau
  • Exceptional interpersonal, listening, and written presentation skills
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and present/discuss work results compellingly
