About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead end-to-end complex employment relations cases, including performance management, disciplinary procedures, and grievance investigations
  • Track cases through the global case management tool
  • Support new business initiatives with process guidance for consultation and documentation
  • Provide CLR specialist advice to CEG team members across different areas and global markets
  • Support global organizational change initiatives and projects to drive efficiency and add CLR value
  • Deliver CLR training to leaders and employees
  • Identify opportunities to reduce labor risk and research and develop initiatives to mitigate it
  • Review and update CEG policies and procedures
  • Respond to CEG/CLR enquiries escalated from the American Express Colleague Service Center
  • Work in a multi-market setting
  • Work on shifting schedules and adjust schedules according to the supported market

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Professional-level fluency (spoken and written) in Spanish and English
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience with concentration in Employee & Labor Relations
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Human Resources, Law, or related discipline
  • Relevant experience handling Employee Relations issues for different markets globally
  • Experience conducting sensitive workplace investigations
  • Strong organizational skills and a proven drive for results
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to cascade complex messages in simple form
  • Excellent relationship and interpersonal skills, including influencing leaders and colleagues at all levels, challenging the status quo, confronting difficult issues, and comfort with ambiguity
  • Must be amenable to a hybrid work arrangement (onsite and work from home)
  • Must have at least 25 mbps internet connection plan/speed
  • Must have a private and quiet area to work at home
  • Employment eligibility to work with American Express in the Philippines is required; no visa sponsorship available
