Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop, and execute test automation frameworks for web applications, APIs, and performance testing
Perform functional, regression, integration, and release validation testing
Develop automated test scripts using Java, Selenium WebDriver v3/v4, TestNG, and Cucumber (BDD)
Conduct API testing and automation using Rest Assured and Postman
Implement performance and load testing using Gatling/Karate
Integrate automation suites into GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines
Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives within Agile/Scrum teams
Track and manage defects using Jira, ensuring end-to-end QA ownership
Use ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Gemini, and Claude to accelerate test development and code generation, including agentic and prompt engineering skills
Collaborate with developers, DevOps, and product teams to improve software quality, reliability, and security
Maintain and develop code using Advanced Java and Java EE expertise

Requirements

What you’ll need

3–5 years of experience in Test Automation / QA Engineering / SDET roles
Strong programming skills in Core Java and understanding of OOP concepts
Experience with Selenium, TestNG, and Cucumber (BDD)
Hands-on experience with API testing using Rest Assured and Postman
Proficiency in Python or Shell scripting
Experience with GitHub Actions and integrating automation suites into CI/CD pipelines
Proficiency in writing and customizing GitHub Actions YAML files and constructing jobs and pipelines
Strong understanding of STLC and SDLC
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases, query writing, and JDBC
Experience with Jira for test management and defect tracking
Experience with performance testing tools such as Gatling or Karate
Exposure to cloud-based testing platforms such as Sauce Labs
Familiarity with IntelliJ IDEA, PyCharm, and Visual Studio Code
Knowledge of Node.js and Spring Boot
Understanding of DevOps practices, REST APIs, and workflow orchestration tools such as Temporal and N8N
Experience leveraging AI/GenAI tools for automation and productivity
Strong analytical skills, problem-solving ability, and continuous learning mindset
