About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Define and execute the multi-year Campus Talent Acquisition strategy across India and Asia Pacific
  • Shape the regional Campus Talent Acquisition operating model, driving consistency in strategy, governance, processes, and execution while enabling flexibility for local market needs
  • Contribute to the global campus strategy, operating model, and leadership agenda as a member of the Campus Talent Acquisition Leadership Team
  • Align global Campus Talent Acquisition priorities with regional execution
  • Advise senior business leaders on workforce planning, early careers strategy, labor market trends, and competitive talent intelligence
  • Develop innovative sourcing strategies and sustainable pipelines of high-quality early career talent
  • Build and maintain partnerships with universities, educational institutions, industry organizations, and external partners
  • Partner with Recruitment Marketing on integrated campus marketing strategies across digital, social, virtual, and in-person channels
  • Champion the American Express Colleague Value Proposition and employer brand
  • Lead end-to-end campus recruitment operations across India and Asia Pacific
  • Use data, analytics, and market intelligence to optimize hiring strategies and operational performance
  • Drive process simplification, technology adoption, and scalable recruitment solutions
  • Establish governance, operational controls, and risk management throughout the campus recruitment lifecycle
  • Measure and improve candidate, hiring leader, and stakeholder experiences against hiring goals and operational metrics
  • Partner with business leaders, HR Business Partners, Recruitment Marketing, Total Rewards & Well-being, the Programs Center of Excellence, and other stakeholders
  • Partner with the Campus Programs Center of Excellence to deliver onboarding and development experiences for interns and full-time campus hires
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing Campus Talent Acquisition team across India and Asia Pacific
  • Foster accountability, inclusion, continuous improvement, operational excellence, and future Talent Acquisition leadership

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 10+ years of progressive Talent Acquisition experience, including significant leadership experience in Campus or Early Careers recruitment across India and Asia Pacific
  • Demonstrated success developing and executing enterprise-wide early careers recruitment strategies across multiple countries and diverse talent markets
  • Proven experience leading geographically distributed Talent Acquisition teams and developing high-performing leaders
  • Deep understanding of university recruitment ecosystems across India and key Asia Pacific markets, with strong knowledge of regional talent trends and competitive landscapes
  • Strong operational leadership experience using data, analytics, governance, and process excellence to improve recruiting performance and business outcomes
  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships, influence senior leaders, and successfully partner across multiple functions, geographies, and cultures
  • Experience serving on a Talent Acquisition leadership team and leading organizational transformation, operating model evolution, or business change initiatives
  • Strong client service orientation combined with commercial acumen, sound business judgment, and a results-driven mindset
  • Exceptional executive communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills with experience influencing across diverse cultures and global organizations
  • Strategic thinking and ability to translate vision into scalable regional solutions with measurable business outcomes
  • Demonstrated success leading complex cross-functional initiatives involving multiple countries, stakeholders, and business groups
  • Strong understanding of employer branding, diversity recruiting, emerging Talent Acquisition technologies, and evolving early careers trends across Asia Pacific
  • Established network of university, industry, and external talent partners across India and Asia Pacific
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred
  • Successful completion of a background verification check, subject to applicable laws and regulations
