About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of product managers
  • Develop and articulate product vision and strategy for Bill Payment aligned with enterprise goals
  • Identify and communicate initiatives driving experience improvements, cost efficiency, and risk reduction in Bill Payment
  • Guide creation and maintenance of product roadmaps aligned with business objectives and customer needs
  • Oversee market research on industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape
  • Foster innovation and continuous improvement within the product management team
  • Ensure data-driven insights inform market opportunities and product decisions
  • Lead commercial engagements supporting AXP in delivering new product partnerships
  • Collaborate with product development leaders to build a roadmap for payment experiences and aligned capability strategy
  • Identify and prioritize payment-related experience improvements and features
  • Support investment planning and partner engagement across lines of business

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Ability to see the big picture and develop long-term plans aligned with business objectives
  • Ability to make data-driven decisions quickly and effectively
  • Comfortable taking calculated risks and making tough choices
  • Passion for payments and payment technology innovation
  • Knowledge of Bill Pay capabilities and/or A2A money movement, including ACH, wires, and RTP, is a plus
  • Passion to drive execution and deliver results in a dynamic, highly matrixed environment
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a Product organization driving large, complex, transformational initiatives
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, complex problem solving, and strategic thought leadership
  • Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to influence key partners and executive stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency developing presentations and deliverables for executive audiences
  • Ability to take initiatives from concept to development and prioritize in ambiguous situations
  • Ability to navigate changing priorities, complexity, and change
  • Resourcefulness, grit, and a positive can-do attitude
  • Sound interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-functionally
