About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead end-to-end internal management for global launches of new digital payment and membership products, specifically in the Web3 space
  • Serve as project manager across Amex Digital Labs and partner teams to guide products through Amex reviews and approvals
  • Influence cross-functional teams to ensure business alignment, requirements, and resourcing are optimal
  • Develop project trackers and overview decks, maintain project update meetings, and communicate product strategy, value proposition, and project updates
  • Anticipate risks and issues and ensure mitigation planning is in place
  • Improve processes, develop toolkits and resources, and reengineer activities to increase agility and speed to market for Web3 products
  • Communicate program strategy, direction, process improvements, and policy changes to stakeholders
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team
  • Collaborate with Product Development, Product Partnerships, Strategic Partnerships, Enterprise Strategy, Merchant, Network, and other internal stakeholders
  • Balance new control design with speed to market across stablecoin and blockchain use cases
  • Bolster frameworks and processes to manage and evaluate Web3-specific risks

Requirements

  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills with the ability to influence partners across a wide variety of functions
  • Experienced and inspiring people leader with a proven track record leading people across varying skills and tenure
  • Ability to drive results against timelines, prioritize, and execute flawlessly
  • Strategic, critical, and creative thinking to solve obstacles and develop winning solutions
  • Outstanding program management skills across product development, engineering and technology, marketing, operational excellence, servicing, legal, compliance, and information security
  • Ability to drive decision-making, work well under pressure, and adapt to frequent change
  • Excellent relationship-building with partners and internal stakeholders
  • Intellectual curiosity about evolving digital, mobile, and alternative payments and innovative membership experiences
  • Prior experience articulating product functionality and demonstrating technical acumen a plus
  • Experience with Amex Enterprise Risk Policy implementation a plus
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • MBA or PMO certification a plus
  • Employment eligibility to work with American Express in the United States; the company will not pursue visa sponsorship
