About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Review, analyze, and report on AXP and Segment Balance Sheets
  • Sustain enterprise-wide Balance Sheet health and financial integrity, including timely research and clearance of balance sheet reconciling items
  • Lead reconciliation review calls with markets and key stakeholders
  • Perform root cause analysis for unreconciled accounts and persistent issues, and implement permanent fixes
  • Collaborate with Account Owners, Regulators, and Entity/Segment Controllers
  • Pursue continuous improvement, lead intelligent automation, and monitor compliance with management policies
  • Improve the control environment through satisfactory audit outcomes and enhanced internal controls
  • Ensure compliance with SOX, Process Risk Self-Assessment, and prevailing policies and procedures
  • Support statutory and internal audits
  • Challenge the status quo and identify redesign and automation opportunities
  • Lead accounting professionals and coach them on tactical and strategic execution, leadership, and professional development

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Should be a CA/ Graduate with 2-4 years of relevant work experience
  • Well-developed analytical skills and ability to understand linkages to processes
  • Demonstrated accounting expertise
  • Ability to think innovatively and pursue ideas with conviction
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills
  • Ability to influence and corroborate without direct authority
  • Ability to operate under ambiguous circumstances
  • Ability to interact with senior leadership, Finance, multiple employee levels, Business Partners, and Customers
  • Leadership skills to create, develop, train, motivate, and communicate with a diverse workforce
  • Strong, proven people management skills handling cross-functional and cross-cultural teams
