About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage operational processes for financial systems, ensuring efficient execution, controls, and auditability
- Ensure daily operational activities are completed according to processing calendars, controls, and service expectations
- Collaborate with business, finance, and technology stakeholders to triage incidents, manage resolution, and support root cause analysis
- Identify recurring incident themes and drive sustainable remediation to reduce operational risk
- Drive continuous improvement through process optimization, standardization, and automation
- Assess operational impact of production changes and update runbooks, procedures, and documentation
- Develop, operationalize, and monitor dashboards for process health, operational performance, and service management trends
- Document business and technical requirements for enhancements, standard operating procedures, and process improvements
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, audit, and control management requirements
- Implement and periodically test operational controls under RCSA/PRSA guidelines
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a technology-related field, preferably Computer Science
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial systems implementation, production support, and incident management for financial systems
- Advanced knowledge of relational database and data management concepts
- Strong proficiency in SQL and exposure to traditional and modern data technologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to simplify complex financial, business, and technology concepts
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and critical deadlines
- Ability to perform effectively in a high-pressure environment and make sound decisions
- Proven transformational mindset focused on process efficiency and operational effectiveness
- Self-starter and proactive team player committed to high-quality service and stakeholder expectations
- Experience with accounting and reporting processes, including financial and regulatory reporting, preferred
- Ability to work in shifts and provide rotational weekend support
- Advanced SQL skills, including complex queries and multi-table joins
- Proficiency with MS Excel, PowerPoint, MemSQL, and Putty
- Advanced knowledge of job scheduling tools such as Airflow and Automic required
- Experience with Generative AI frameworks is an added advantage
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform, including BigQuery, Cloud Storage, monitoring, logging, IAM, production support, maintenance, and troubleshooting, preferred
- Experience with AxiomSL preferred
- Knowledge of Flink and Beam server preferred
- Experience with ServiceNow and Jira preferred
