About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead mission-critical initiatives aimed at reducing user friction, increasing automation and approval rates, and modernizing the digital ecosystem
  • Define and evolve the product vision, strategy, and goals for the digital acquisition team
  • Improve efficiency, scalability, and time-to-market by optimizing and enhancing platform capabilities
  • Build in a scalable, reusable, and accessible way
  • Develop and maintain outcome-driven product roadmaps aligned with enterprise priorities and customer needs
  • Own the end-to-end product discovery process, including forming hypotheses, defining objectives and key results (OKRs), evaluating tradeoffs, and validating solutions
  • Build strong partnerships with stakeholders across Design, Engineering, other Product teams, Marketing, Analytics, and Risk
  • Monitor product performance and customer behavior, using data and insights to continuously refine priorities and improve outcomes
  • Craft and execute the digital strategy for applying for an American Express product
  • Identify opportunities to enhance and modernize user journeys while reducing duplicative experiences
  • Support compliance and regulatory initiatives and ensure digital experiences meet applicable regulatory requirements and accessibility standards

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3-5 years of experience in Product Management, preferably with digital web and native mobile applications
  • Nice to have background in front-end engineering and/or design
  • Preferred background working on design systems and/or component libraries
  • Working knowledge of agentic AI concepts and hands-on experience with prototyping tools
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with stakeholders and teams
  • Enthusiasm and passion for great products and demonstrated customer focus
  • Ability to take a collaborative approach to operate in a matrixed environment
  • Sense of urgency and enthusiasm in developing best-in-class products
  • Proactive problem-solving ability
  • Employment eligibility to work with American Express in the United States is required; the company will not pursue visa sponsorship
  • Experience in a regulated environment, with knowledge of compliance, controls, data governance, and integrity processes, is a plus
