About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide leadership, guidance, and coaching to applications engineering teams, supporting training and development of best practices
Oversee the incident management process, ensuring timely resolution of issues and minimizing downtime
Ensure solutions meet business requirements, timelines, quality standards, and strategic goals
Collaborate with stakeholders, including senior management, to provide updates on technology operations and ensure alignment with business objectives
Lead management and maintenance of network infrastructure, monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and support network security measures
Oversee system upgrades, updates, backups, and maintenance of hardware and software systems
Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams on technology projects and initiatives
Contribute to operational policies and procedures and identify areas for improvement
Ensure adherence to best practices, industry standards, and company policies for technology operations and technical services, including secure processes
May manage and lead technology operations colleagues and support continuous learning, growth, and inclusivity
May provide leadership, guidance, and coaching to technology operations teams
May recruit, develop, reward, and energize an effective team
Collaborate with product and business teams to align technology operations and service initiatives with broader business objectives

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and/or comparable experience
Knowledge of network protocols and technologies
Knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell and Python for automation tasks
Experience in cloud administration, IT asset management and automation tools and/or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) in a technology or financial services organization
Experience managing and maintaining technology infrastructure, including servers, networks, and cloud services
Experience in system administration, network configuration, and troubleshooting
Experience in technology operations work
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ certification is a plus
Public Cloud certification is a plus
