About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist in developing business cases for new products or features
  • Research regulatory developments and provide preliminary input on potential implications to existing products
  • Document as-is processes for product management, product enhancements, key findings, and standard methodologies
  • Create and maintain the product backlog, prioritize features, and establish product release timelines
  • Partner with analytics teams to provide input and prioritize analytics requests
  • Collaborate with Product, Technology, and adjacent stakeholders to gather and document product requirements and ensure timely feature delivery using agile methodologies
  • Identify technical gaps and collaborate with broader teams to resolve risks, opportunities, and changes tied to product management initiatives and processes
  • Maintain core critical metrics
  • Understand competitive and internal positioning through internal and external market research
  • Use analytical abilities and strategic perspective to identify trends and recommend solutions to improve user experience
  • Lead a scrum team focused on maintaining and uplifting back-end bonus qualification systems
  • Consult with business and engineering partners to articulate outcomes, tie initiatives to key metrics, and drive consensus around MVP definitions
  • Work with execution teams to ensure delivery of high-quality and timely software products
  • Build and foster a culture of agility and product ownership with technology and business teams

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 1-2 years of experience working on/with software development teams
  • Knowledge of Loyalty Programs and associated products is required
  • Building and maintaining strategic product roadmaps
  • Maintain a healthy backlog for scrum teams
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels within the organization, including external partners
  • Familiarity with agile and scrum software development methodologies
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to consult with various stakeholders and define optimal requirements
  • Problem solving, project management and analytical skills; ability to prioritize and complete tasks
  • Bachelor’s Degree required (or comparable experience) in Business or Computer Science disciplines
  • Must travel on-site to office a minimum of three days per week, in alignment with team days
  • Depending on factors such as business unit requirements, the nature of the position, cost and applicable laws, American Express may provide visa sponsorship for certain positions
