About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the delivery and operations of technology, digital, and data capabilities, platforms, and services globally
- Provide 24x7 support for technology engineering, architecture, and infrastructure
- Troubleshoot and tune performance
- Implement high availability solutions
- Build live production APIs and services
- Develop automation
- Identify application and infrastructure risks and mitigation strategies
- Work with teams to ensure risks are mitigated
- Debug issues and perform root cause analysis
- Use monitoring tools to improve overall efficiency
- Apply ITIL Event, Incident, Release, Problem, and Knowledge Management practices
- Contribute to application design, software development, and automated testing
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in computer science, computer science engineering or related technical experience
- 6+ years of varied experience in software engineering
- Performance troubleshooting and tuning
- Experience implementing high availability solutions such as Always On, Clustering, and Mirroring
- DevOps knowledge for highly available IT infrastructure
- Experience building live production APIs and services
- Experience with automation development
- Familiarity with Agile or other rapid application development methods
- Hands-on expertise with application design, software development, and automated testing
- Experience in technology for the banking and payments industries
- Experience identifying application/infrastructure risks and mitigation strategies
- Experience with debugging techniques for root cause analysis
- Experience working with monitoring tools, including application performance monitoring, AIOps, or equivalent tools
- Solid understanding of ITIL: Event, Incident, Release, Problem, and Knowledge Management
- Experience in one or more of programming languages, networking, Linux/Windows, mainframe, middleware, databases, or cloud
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills
- Analytical thinking, curiosity, and a continuous learning and improvement attitude
