  • Own the economics and profitability of assigned client relationships
  • Optimize financial performance and execute long-term strategic growth plans
  • Lead complex cross-functional initiatives with Strategic Partnerships, Marketing, Finance, Pricing, Risk, Operations, Compliance, and Legal

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experienced relationship manager with a proven ability to build and deepen complex client relationships
  • Ability to identify client needs, sell B2C and B2B programs and initiatives, and uncover new opportunities to grow revenue and share
  • Demonstrated experience negotiating complex commercial agreements
  • Understanding of card acceptance economics, profitability levers, financial statements, and client economics
  • Proven consultative selling skills and ability to translate client needs into compelling solutions, close deals, and deliver measurable results
  • Strong executive presence and communication skills, internally and externally
  • Ability to lead senior-level discussions, navigate complex stakeholder environments, and influence decision-making
  • Strong strategic, financial, and analytical capabilities
  • Ability to assess business opportunities, develop recommendations, and balance growth with profitability
  • Curiosity, creativity, and initiative to generate ideas and solve complex challenges
  • Ability to influence without direct authority and collaborate across a highly matrixed organization
  • Employment eligibility to work with American Express in the U.S.; visa sponsorship will not be pursued
