About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Review requirements specifications for defects, performance, reliability, scalability, testability, usability, and security
- Define requirements for new features and build product roadmaps
- Monitor and track resolution of defects
- Coordinate with engineers to prevent, report, and resolve issues
- Recommend changes to APIs and system designs in collaboration with architects, tech leads, and developers
- Plan process and technology improvement projects and collaborate on execution
- Work under the supervision of a Director, Software Engineering
- Identify and resolve inefficiencies in the development process
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related STEM Field
- 5 years of progressively responsible experience with building development plans, and execution of quality assurance and testing for engineering teams
- 2 years of experience with software project management
- 2 years of experience in an Agile rapid application development environment
- 2 years of experience applying software development methodologies, continuous integration and development, integrated test environments, and tool chain automation
- 2 years of experience performing end-to-end automated test execution through self-service across Mainframe and distributed applications
- 2 years of experience writing test cases and resolving defects
- 2 years of experience designing and running functional, automated, system, and performance tests
- 2 years of experience with API testing, COBOL, Control-M, DB2, JCL, Mainframe CI/CD, MQ, Test Data Management (TDM), SQL, Test Automation, and VSAM
