Key responsibilities & impact

Oversee and mentor a team of Software Engineering colleagues
Provide direct leadership and coaching, supporting training and development of best practices
Manage resource allocation, project timelines, and budgets for Software Engineering projects
Collaborate with senior leadership to hire talent and implement retention and professional development strategies
Lead software development, deployment, support, and monitoring across various environments
Define and implement technology roadmaps and strategies with senior leadership and cross-functional teams
Lead innovation and process automation to drive efficiency and scalability in production environments
Drive continuous improvement using metrics and feedback to improve team performance and software quality
Collaborate with Product, Risk, Compliance, and business teams to align technology initiatives with business objectives
Lead AI adoption initiatives and integrate AI into development platforms and processes
Coach direct reports in the effective, responsible, and practical use of AI tools
Define metrics to measure AI impact on productivity and quality
Lead the design, development, and delivery of secure, scalable, reliable peer-to-peer payment platforms
Support payment ecosystems including dispute management, transaction processing, balance ledger management, reconciliation, and settlement workflows

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and/or comparable experience; advanced degree preferred
Software engineering and development experience or a related job
Experience in leading and managing software engineering teams, providing technical leadership and mentorship
Experience collaborating with senior stakeholders to drive software strategy and innovation
Expertise in application design, software development, and automated testing
Experience in distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms, and relational databases
Experience with Agile software development methodologies and practices such as Scrum/Kanban, iterations, and user stories
Experience in automation testing and documentation, including automated, functional, and performance testing
Experience leading large-scale AI adoption initiatives
Experience delivering measurable outcomes from AI-enabled practices
Knowledge of NoSQL and relational databases
Knowledge of core tools used in planning, analyzing, crafting, building, testing, configuring, and maintaining assigned applications
Strong understanding of AI-driven engineering transformation
Knowledge of scaling AI practices across organizations
Knowledge of evaluating AI tools for enterprise environments
Comparable experience may substitute for the bachelor's degree
