About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Define the visual quality and user experience of travel-related journeys across native mobile and web platforms
  • Identify project artifacts and deliver high-quality wireframes, prototypes, and production-ready designs
  • Set the user experience vision and independently drive complex initiatives from concept through launch
  • Develop customer understanding through user-centered methodologies, research, analytics, external analysis, and data
  • Create intuitive, visually compelling experiences balancing customer needs, business goals, and technical constraints
  • Present design decisions, strategy, and product vision to peers, cross-functional partners, stakeholders, and senior leadership
  • Improve design processes and workflows across the design organization
  • Contribute to and evolve design systems, UX patterns, and visual standards
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, Design Leads, Researchers, Content Designers, and other partners
  • Exchange ideas, provide critique, mentor teammates, and foster continuous improvement
  • Mentor associate designers and peers and potentially manage a direct report
  • Leverage modern design tools to deliver artifacts, facilitate collaboration, and improve team workflows

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of experience designing and shipping customer-facing digital products across native mobile (iOS and Android) and responsive web platforms
  • Portfolio demonstrating successfully launched experiences and measurable customer and business impact
  • Demonstrated success independently leading complex product initiatives from discovery through launch
  • Exceptional visual design craft across typography, hierarchy, layout, color, motion, interaction design, and attention to detail
  • Ability to create premium digital experiences balancing aesthetic excellence with usability, accessibility, customer needs, and business outcomes
  • Experience designing consumer-facing products; travel, lifestyle, hospitality, e-commerce, or other experience-driven digital products preferred
  • Expert knowledge of Figma, including advanced prototyping, component libraries, design systems, and collaborative workflows
  • Deep understanding of user-centered design methodologies, research, accessibility, and iterative product development
  • Strong product thinking and ability to translate customer insights, business goals, and technical constraints into end-to-end experiences
  • Excellent communication, storytelling, and presentation skills
  • Ability to own multiple complex initiatives while mentoring designers and elevating design quality
