About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Mentor junior engineers and cross-functional teams
- Provide technical guidance on automation, AI technologies, and enterprise integration best practices
- Lead the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of intelligent automation solutions, AI-powered applications, and workflows
- Oversee implementation and optimization of automation platforms, APIs, and enterprise integrations
- Develop and maintain automated testing, validation, and evaluation frameworks
- Establish and enforce engineering standards, coding practices, governance, security, and responsible AI principles
- Monitor performance, scalability, and reliability of automation workflows and applications
- Analyze complex technical and business challenges and develop solutions improving productivity, operational excellence, and customer outcomes
- Collaborate with architects, product managers, data scientists, security teams, and business stakeholders
- Identify automation and AI opportunities and translate business needs into scalable, secure, maintainable solutions
- Design and develop reusable components to accelerate delivery and standardize solutions
- Evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and frameworks
- Ensure compliance with architecture, security, risk, privacy, and regulatory requirements
- Drive continuous improvement using metrics, monitoring, and feedback
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and/or comparable experience; advanced degree preferred
- Knowledge of distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms, APIs, NoSQL, and relational databases
- Knowledge of software planning, analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance tools
- Knowledge of software engineering principles, object-oriented design, data structures, design patterns, and application architecture
- Knowledge of automation frameworks, workflow orchestration, and enterprise integration patterns
- Knowledge of AI application development concepts, including LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, and AI-assisted development practices
- Knowledge of cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and application monitoring
- 9+ years of experience in application design, software development, automated testing, and software lifecycle management
- Experience with Java and/or Python
- Experience with distributed systems, algorithms, APIs, and relational and NoSQL databases
- Experience with Agile methodologies including Scrum, Kanban, iterative development, and user stories
- Experience implementing automation solutions
- Experience integrating applications and services using REST APIs, messaging technologies, and enterprise integration patterns
- Experience leveraging AI technologies, including LLMs, AI-powered development tools, or intelligent automation solutions
- Experience in automated testing and documentation, including unit, integration, functional, performance, and regression testing
- Experience deploying, monitoring, and optimizing cloud applications using CI/CD and DevOps practices
