About the role

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy full stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, JavaScript (ES6+), React.js, and Python.
  • Build RESTful APIs and microservices-based architectures.
  • Develop responsive front-end applications using React.js, Redux, HTML5, CSS3, and TypeScript.
  • Implement backend services using Java and Python.
  • Integrate applications with relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Deploy and manage applications on AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
  • Apply DevOps best practices and Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and CloudFormation.
  • Integrate AI-assisted coding tools to improve productivity and quality.
  • Ensure application security using OAuth2, JWT, SSL/TLS, and encryption standards.
  • Perform unit, integration, and automated testing.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Monitor system performance using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Splunk.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in full stack software development.
  • Strong programming experience in Java (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Hibernate), JavaScript (ES6+), React.js, and Python.
  • Experience with REST APIs, JSON, and microservices architecture.
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Knowledge of Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL or BigQuery.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud services.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container-based deployments.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
  • Proficiency in Git version control.
  • Employment eligibility to work with American Express in the United States is required; the company will not pursue visa sponsorship.
  • Preferred: experience with serverless architecture, Amex Enterprise Platforms, message queues, API Gateway, cloud networking, and relevant cloud certifications.
