About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Write, design, and edit communications for select topics and audiences across colleague channels, including the company intranet, Slack, and digital screens
  • Develop communications that build awareness of learning opportunities, strengthen critical skills, support new ways of working, and drive innovation
  • Support communications for high-visibility enterprise programs and initiatives, including company announcements, awards, colleague learning, and emerging enterprise priorities
  • Identify creative approaches to storytelling design and multimedia content to increase the relevance and impact of colleague communications
  • Work with internal teams to manage logistics and presentations for colleague events, including town halls, forums, new program launch events, and onsite engagement activities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3-5 years of experience in corporate communications, executive communications, colleague communications, public relations, or a related field
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills
  • Ability to translate complex topics into clear, compelling communications for a range of audiences
  • Strong design skills
  • Experience using Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, After Effects, Illustrator, and Photoshop
  • Experience developing content across digital, video, and live or virtual experiences
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to build relationships across teams, functions, and levels
  • Sound judgment and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to operate effectively in a complex, fast-paced environment
  • Employment eligibility to work with American Express in the United States; the company will not pursue visa sponsorship
  • Experience with executive, colleague, and/or HR communications (preferred)
