About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as strategic point of contact for clients
  • Manage annual book of business and monitor upcoming expirations
  • Identify client and prospect risk management needs and recommend products and services
  • Identify unmitigated risks and cross-sell complementary products and services
  • Manage a team of 1–5 and train and advance team members’ careers
  • Present custom solutions and promote American Global’s competitive differentiation
  • Represent American Global in meetings, seminars, trade shows, networking events, industry associations, organizations, boards, and charities
  • Prepare, analyze, execute, and/or approve client fee agreements, renewal letter requests, coverage quotes, production reports, and data analyses
  • Cultivate local underwriting relationships and maintain knowledge of carrier underwriting appetites and contacts
  • Analyze client risk profiles and develop marketing strategies
  • Bind insurance coverages and convert proposals to summaries of insurance post binding
  • Support responses to requests for proposals (RFPs)
  • Lead account management staff through stewardship, pre-renewal, final renewal delivery, and other account management services
  • Develop relationships with centers of influence, including attorneys, bankers, and CPAs
  • Build and maintain relationships with key individuals within client organizations
  • Delegate tasks and balance workloads
  • Maintain communication with clients and industry partners
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experienced Account Executive in insurance
  • Strong technical property and casualty knowledge, typically 5 to 7+ years industry experience
  • Time management and ability to prioritize work
  • Attention to detail
  • Problem solving skills
  • Professional written and verbal communication
  • Proficient in Applied Epic, Microsoft Office product suite, and Adobe Pro systems
  • Ability to drive strategy
  • Embrace change and innovation as the industry evolves
  • Strong knowledge of competitors to aid in company prospecting efforts
  • Proficiency in the sales discovery process (due diligence)
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
  • Ability to travel as required
  • Maintain insurance license and CE requirements
