About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform advanced accounting activities and support financial reporting accuracy
  • Own data preparation and reconciliation work behind rebate processing
  • Support accounting activity specific to the Trio/staffing side of the business
  • Build and manage tracking for recurring tax filings and business license renewals
  • Monitor filing deadlines and reporting requirements proactively
  • Cross-train on month-end close and accounts payable/vendor setup functions
  • Provide coverage when team members are absent
  • Serve as backup for AHS-side internal credit checks
  • Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
  • Identify inconsistencies and flag discrepancies before reporting issues arise
  • Support month-end close activities and financial reporting
  • Improve accounting workflows and tracking systems
  • Partner with Finance, Payroll, Billing, Operations, and leadership teams
  • Support audits, compliance activities, financial analysis, and operational accounting processes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; not required if offset by equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting processes
  • Experience supporting month-end close and account reconciliation activities
  • Solid working knowledge of debits, credits, and journal entry mechanics
  • Experience preparing journal entries, financial schedules, and variance analyses
  • Comfortable with or open to learning AI tools as part of daily workflow
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and meet deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to learn new technology
  • Preferred experience in staffing, MSP/VMS, or workforce solutions
  • Experience with vendor setup, credit checks, or rebate/discount programs
  • Exposure to compliance tracking, tax filings, and business licensing
  • Experience in multi-entity or high-growth environments
  • Experience with ERP or accounting systems such as Intacct, QuickBooks, or similar platforms
  • Experience supporting audits and compliance processes
  • Exposure to process improvement or accounting system enhancement initiatives
  • Experience in healthcare staffing, workforce solutions, or service-based industries
  • CPA or progress toward CPA certification preferred
  • Qualified candidates must be able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to remain stationary for approximately 50% of the workday
