About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop, implement, and administer human resources strategies, programs, and initiatives supporting business objectives
- Partner with business leaders on HR strategies, workforce planning, succession planning, organizational design, and talent strategies
- Lead initiatives improving employee engagement, retention, performance, and organizational effectiveness
- Advise leadership on employee and organizational matters
- Lead employee relations activities, including investigations, conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and policy interpretation
- Guide employment law compliance and workplace practices
- Support performance management, goal setting, talent reviews, succession planning, leadership development, and employee development
- Identify skill gaps and development opportunities with business leaders
- Oversee HR compliance programs, audits, accommodations, record retention, EEO, affirmative action, and policy administration
- Monitor employment legislation and recommend organizational actions
- Partner with Compensation and Benefits teams on compensation programs, salary planning, benchmarking, incentives, pay equity, and benefit administration
- Lead organizational change and business transformation initiatives
- Develop communication strategies for HR programs and organizational changes
- Facilitate workforce transitions, restructuring, and integration activities
- Use HR information systems and workforce analytics to support organizational decisions
- Develop workforce reports and metrics
- Build, mentor, and develop HR team members
- Manage departmental budgets and resources
- Drive strategic HR objectives, engagement and retention results, compliance, employee relations resolution, succession planning, talent effectiveness, service delivery, customer satisfaction, budget adherence, and operational efficiency
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field required
- 8-10+ years of progressive Human Resources experience
- Minimum 5 years of HR leadership or management experience
- Demonstrated experience in employee relations, talent management, organizational development, and HR compliance
- Experience partnering with senior leadership teams
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
- Demonstrated change management experience
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Master's degree preferred
- Labor relations and union experience preferred, where applicable
- SHRM-SCP preferred
- SPHR preferred
- CHRL/CHRP preferred (Canada, if applicable)
