About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support administration and billing reconciliation of company benefit plans
- Maintain, administer, and communicate employee medical, dental, vision, life, disability, FSA, 401(k), and Employee Stock Purchase Plan benefits
- Respond to employee benefit questions and issues by email, phone, and personal meetings within 24 hours
- Enroll and terminate employees in company benefit plans
- Provide benefits training to employees and managers
- Participate in benefits presentations during new-hire orientation
- Coordinate benefits orientations and enrollment or termination processes for supported organizations
- Serve as a contact for plan vendors and third-party administrators regarding billing and compliance
- Review and reconcile monthly billing invoices, document adjustments, and submit them for payment
- Investigate discrepancies and handle non-routine situations
- Document changes in benefits and payroll systems
- Prepare benefit reports by extracting data from the HCM system
- Assist with employee claims and issues involving insurance carriers
- Maintain updated benefits documentation in HR employee records
- Evaluate and revise internal processes and document SOPs
- Maintain and update employee censuses monthly
- Support open enrollment by planning, running reports, completing vendor uploads, and handling employee communications
- Monitor federal, state, and local laws for benefits and wellness compliance
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree required
- 3+ years benefits experience preferred
- 3+ years of experience using human resources systems such as Ultipro and ADP preferred
- Experience using Microsoft Excel preferred
- Ability to administer and reconcile employee benefit plans
- Ability to support compliance with federal, state, and local laws
- Ability to communicate with employees, managers, plan vendors, third-party administrators, and insurance carriers
- Ability to prepare reports using a human capital management (HCM) system
