About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support administration and billing reconciliation of company benefit plans
  • Maintain, administer, and communicate employee medical, dental, vision, life, disability, FSA, 401(k), and Employee Stock Purchase Plans
  • Assist employees with benefit-related questions and issues within 24 hours
  • Enroll and terminate employees in company benefit plans
  • Provide benefits program training to employees and managers
  • Participate in benefits presentations during new-hire orientation
  • Coordinate benefits orientation, enrollment, and termination processes for supported organizations
  • Serve as a contact for plan vendors and third-party administrators on billing and compliance matters
  • Review and reconcile monthly billing invoices and document adjustments
  • Investigate billing discrepancies and non-routine situations
  • Communicate and document changes in benefits and payroll systems
  • Prepare benefit reports using data from the HCM system
  • Assist with employee claims and insurance carrier issues
  • Maintain updated benefits documentation in HR employee records
  • Evaluate and revise internal processes and document them in SOPs
  • Maintain and update employee censuses monthly
  • Support open enrollment by planning, running reports, completing vendor uploads, and managing employee communications
  • Monitor federal, state, and local laws for benefits and wellness compliance
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 3+ years of benefits experience preferred
  • 3+ years of experience using human resources systems, including Ultipro and ADP, preferred
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel preferred
  • Ability to administer and reconcile employee benefit plans
  • Ability to work with benefit plan vendors and third-party administrators
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws related to benefits and wellness compliance
  • Ability to prepare benefit reports using a human capital management (HCM) system
  • Ability to communicate with employees by email, phone, and personal meetings
  • Ability to support benefits open enrollment processes
