About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the team and drive for results through excellent customer service
- Model professionalism and compassion while serving as an ambassador to the public for the nation’s largest not-for-profit blood banking organization
- Work as a lead/charge at mobile blood drives within the community and conduct phlebotomy
- Coach, mentor, instruct, and provide resources to blood collection staff
- Work independently with attention to detail and knowledge of daily operations
- Ensure collected blood meets regulatory requirements
- Set up and tear down equipment for mobile blood drives as part of a team
Requirements
What you’ll need- Candidates must reside in Montgomery County or Bucks County
- Associates Degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience (18 months to four years of work experience in a related field) is required
- Minimum 1 year leadership experience in environments with public interaction required
- Phlebotomy experience is required
- Customer service experience, effective verbal communication and public relations skills are required
- Current valid driver's license and a good driving record required
- Ability to lift, push or pull heavy weights up and down ramps and stairs
- Good manual dexterity
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods and adapt to long, irregular hours and frequent schedule changes
- Position may require a minimum height of 60 inches to safely operate Red Cross vehicles
- Basic computer skills required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Prior healthcare or phlebotomy experience (CNA, MA, EMT, etc.) preferred
- Prior leadership experience in healthcare settings preferred
