About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as Community Recovery leader for the Texas Hill Country Flooding Long-Term Recovery Operation
- Implement, evaluate, design, and manage community recovery programs or services
- Act as convener, facilitative leader, and problem solver in impacted communities
- Develop and/or participate in Long Term Recovery Groups, Unmet Needs committees, and other community coalitions
- Identify and act on recovery priorities with community leaders and stakeholders
- Perform administrative, fiscal, and inventory duties supporting program operations
- Monitor program activities and develop status reports for management review
- Collect and analyze data, identify needs or improvements, and develop recommendations
- Administer program processes and recommend procedural revisions
- Support funding and proposal initiatives
- Develop and cultivate relationships with internal and external partners and organizations
- Report to the Director, National Long-Term Recovery Operations
- Travel frequently to impacted communities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required
- Current, valid driver's license
- In-depth knowledge of program or service
- Ability to create presentations and develop training modules
- Excellent oral and communication skills, including training and presentations
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to develop project plans, budgets, and strategies
- Demonstrated analytical and decision-making skills
- Intermediate proficiency with MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Ability to work on a team
- Ability to travel as required
- Ability to perform the stated physical requirements, including lifting up to 30 pounds occasionally
