About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Receive and fulfill routine orders for blood and pharmaceutical products and transfusion-related supplies
  • Maintain data, tools, and computer programs supporting product and service information management
  • Rotate inventory at primary and remote facilities to ensure adequate supplies
  • Provide customer service and proactively communicate product and service information to hospital customers
  • Make follow-up calls when product needs cannot be met as expected
  • Determine economical transportation methods for hospital shipments
  • Investigate and resolve hospital shipment problems
  • Receive and investigate customer concerns and complete documentation accurately and on time
  • Assist hospital personnel with inventory alternatives when requested products are unavailable
  • Provide support, development, and/or leadership guidance to volunteers

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School or equivalent required
  • Minimum one year related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required
  • Progressive experience in a dynamic, multi-task operational environment preferred
  • Experience in blood or pharmaceutical inventory management, hospital customer relations, or logistics preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with customers and staff, including volunteers
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities effectively
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Working knowledge of computers
  • Must be willing to work weekends and some holidays
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule during the first 4–6 weeks of training
  • Some business travel may be required
