About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Answer inbound calls and email inquiries from Training Services learners, prospective learners, instructors, and instructor organizations
- Resolve customer issues and provide information using computer systems and job aids
- Perform account maintenance and basic troubleshooting
- Triage and manage customer inquiries and ensure follow-through to resolution
- Update account records and document the reason and resolution of inquiries
- Maintain daily production standards for Average Handle Time, Calls per Hour, Email per Hour, Percentage Online Time, and Quality
- Triage complex problems and route callers
- Provide support, development and/or leadership guidance to volunteers
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Comply with standard operating procedures and applicable Federal, State and local regulations
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School or equivalent required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience required
- 1 year of customer service, sales, or call center experience preferred, or equivalent combination of education and related experience required
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in using computer applications in a fast-paced work-from-home virtual call center environment
- Ability to work on a team
- Ability to work 4–5 days per week, Monday through Saturday
- Ability to work variable shifts between 12:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. Eastern Time
- Minimum availability of 25 hours weekly
- Ability to use a personal computer and applicable software for sustained periods of time
- Criminal background check required
- Bilingual English and Spanish preferred, with ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in both languages
- Strong typing and data entry skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and customer service systems
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a remote team
