About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors in Greater New York giving $10,000+
Build a pipeline of donors capable of six- and seven-figure transformational philanthropy
Manage assigned portfolios of donors, sponsors, and prospects to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals
Achieve annual fundraising goals, including renewable gifts and new incremental revenue
Develop and provide support, development, and leadership guidance to fundraising volunteers
Create customized solicitation strategies aligned with organizational objectives and donor interests
Build deep, strategic relationships with individual donors and prospects
Create individualized donor plans for complex solicitations
Conduct face-to-face donor visits and prepare customized engagement materials
Maintain accurate and timely donor information in Salesforce
Participate in disaster relief fundraising projects as appropriate
Recruit, develop, and work with field staff and volunteers
Perform duties in compliance with standard operating procedures and applicable regulations

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
Minimum five years of sales and/or fundraising experience required
Proven experience in developing strategies for donor retention, growth, and recapture
Proven success with complex requests
Valid driver's license and good driving record
Ability to relate well and work effectively with multiple constituencies and audiences
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Knowledge of MS Office and fundraising database systems such as Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce, and Power BI
Ability to work on a team within a collaborative environment and ensure the highest customer service orientation
Frequent travel within the region is required
