About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage complex scheduling and virtual meeting operations across multiple time zones
- Apply technical troubleshooting skills and cultural awareness to support international stakeholders
- Extract and organize data from internal systems
- Deliver demographic and membership reports supporting global recruitment and retention strategies
- Support payment processing and reconcile invoices
- Maintain accurate, compliant financial records for the Regional Council team
- Compile meeting minutes and coordinate committee chair elections
- Maintain and share up-to-date volunteer rosters
- Provide backup logistical support for the Member Services Department
- Pack and receive shipments to and from ASCO Headquarters
- Travel to support member recruitment and retention efforts at domestic oncology meetings
- Collaborate with the Program Administrator, Director, Finance department, volunteer management team, and other departments
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree in business, international affairs, marketing and communications, or similar
- 2 years of professional experience in administrative operations, program support, data coordination, or customer/member relations
- Demonstrated global awareness and cultural sensitivity
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Hands-on experience with virtual meeting platforms (e.g., Zoom), including scheduling across international time zones and basic technical troubleshooting
- Proficiency working with Microsoft suite products
- Must reside within 75 miles of ASCO headquarters in Alexandria, VA
- Available to work onsite as business needs require
- Must lift up to 25 lbs
- Extended periods seated or standing at a desk
- High use of computer and other office technology equipment
