About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Monitor tower maintenance works and contractor deliverables for owned and managed sites
Review inspection reports and photographs for completeness, accuracy, consistency, and structural condition
Identify and escalate structural risks and provide mitigation solutions, including tower replacement
Manage the tower painting program and ensure regulatory compliance
Monitor Aircraft Warning Lights remotely and ensure defective lights are repaired promptly
Monitor maintenance and rectification work completion and budgets
Review bills of quantities, acceptance requests, and invoices
Provide technical direction to maintenance contractors
Conduct periodic maintenance audits with ATC Nigeria Field Supervisors
Maintain antenna inventory databases and escalate unauthorized installations
File and upload maintenance documentation
Track maintenance work and provide status reports to the Manager, Engineering
Manage internal and external customer relationships
Supervise direct reports and manage personnel issues
Recruit, develop, retain, onboard, and performance-manage staff
Build a collaborative team environment

Requirements

What you’ll need

HND or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field required
Minimum of 5 years in quality assurance and field supervision of wireless communication structures, or in construction, field engineering, or rectification of wireless communications structures
Certified to climb towers
Experience in installation and rectification works for tower structures
Sound knowledge of general construction and safety practices
Sound knowledge of product and materials quality
Ability to climb towers and perform inspections
Experience interfacing with and managing contractors and customers
Knowledge of site development and equipment installation practices
Ability to negotiate agreements with contractors and customers
Technical ability to develop solutions and proposals aligned with customer requirements
Strong organizational, follow-up, written, oral communication, and prioritization skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
