About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as a consultant to customers by conducting financial profiles, identifying needs, and identifying cross-selling and up-selling opportunities
- Attract, expand, and retain consumer and business client relationships
- Contribute to the financial growth of the banking center
- Serve as both a Teller and Personal Banker
- Communicate with current and prospective clients to educate, resolve issues, develop relationships, maintain loyalty, and solicit feedback
- Apply need-based sales techniques and identify appropriate products and services
- Maintain knowledge of banking products and promotions
- Open new accounts and service existing accounts
- Achieve defined sales and service goals
- Recommend branch budgetary needs and methods to improve the client experience
- Understand root causes of customer service issues and implement resolutions
- Conduct onboarding activities for new clients
- Provide backup support to other branches and employees
- Operate the teller drawer and perform complex customer transactions when needed
- Research cash discrepancies, perform accurate transactions, balance daily, and verify cash totals
- Scan daily proof work to the remote capture machine
- Assist with training colleagues and serve as a mentor
- Practice ethical sales behaviors aligned with the Bank’s Core Values of Integrity and Honesty
- Perform other projects and duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- 1 or more years of customer service experience required
- Cash handling or sales experience preferred
- High school diploma or GED required
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred
- Highly motivated team-player with ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Intermediate PC proficiency
- Intermediate proficiency in Google Docs and Microsoft Office products
- Ability to operate the teller drawer and perform advanced, specialized teller functions
- Ability to perform accurate transactions, balance each day, and verify cash totals
