Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee agency partnerships to ensure profitable growth, align agency goals with strategic objectives, and drive exceptional customer service
  • Manage financial performance of agency relationships by tracking profitability, growth trends, and submission activity
  • Build and execute agency business plans
  • Identify and maximize growth opportunities using key agency financial performance metrics
  • Serve as the agency’s primary point of contact and advocate within Amerisure
  • Help agencies navigate internal processes and influence decisions internally and externally
  • Exercise high-level premium authority and influence account-level underwriting decisions aligned with strategic objectives
  • Collaborate with the distribution team to monitor commissions and drive positive financial performance
  • Identify, activate, and maintain new and existing agency relationships
  • Serve as the escalation point for critical agency issues and ensure timely resolution
  • Gather marketplace intelligence to inform strategic decisions benefiting Amerisure and agency partners

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience
  • 8 years of market facing experience; underwriting experience preferred
  • 3 years managing direct business relations with agency ownership or leadership preferred
  • Proven ability to identify long-term opportunities and risk and align agency efforts with strategic goals
  • Track record of demonstrating initiative, taking ownership of issues, and motivating teams toward shared goals
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships and partnerships within the department, across the organization, and with external customers
  • Strategic thinking with analytical and problem-solving skills, including ability to deal with ambiguity
  • Ability to influence and persuade others
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to function in a fast-paced, highly visible, and changing environment
  • Ability to travel 40%
