About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead day-to-day operations across AMPAM MEP's Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing Service Divisions
- Own operating performance for service project delivery, gross margins, recurring maintenance, retention, and truck-based on-call/repair
- Drive customer satisfaction and financial results across all three trades
- Unify field supervisors, project managers, and operations personnel into a high-performing service organization
- Operate ServiceTitan as the common operating platform with standardized safety, training, tools, uniforms, vehicles, and inventory
- Spend significant time on job sites and with customers, supporting project managers, field service managers, and technicians
- Review project performance and drive consistent job costing and financial reporting
- Maintain 93%+ customer retention for the maintenance service agreement base
- Oversee pricing, contract escalations, maintenance scheduling, and resource planning
- Ensure high-quality emergency and on-call repair services; monitor productivity, response times, and first-time-fix rates
- Standardize cross-trade processes and increase customer penetration across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing services
- Collaborate with Sales and Business Development on customer needs, retrofit opportunities, and sales-to-operations handoffs
- Lead, coach, and develop field supervisors, project managers, and operations personnel
- Own hiring plans and build a talent bench for continued service and retrofit growth
- Ensure timely work order review and submission to accounting for invoicing
- Report to the VP of Service; manage Field Supervisors, Project Managers, and other Service Operations personnel
Requirements
What you’ll need- Previous operations management experience in a field-services environment
- Experience in mechanical, electrical, or plumbing trades strongly preferred; experience across all three is a significant plus
- Experience in multi-family, light commercial, or residential markets preferred
- Proven track record managing P&L performance for a service business, including project margin and recurring maintenance revenue
- Experience leading multi-site or multi-trade field teams, including supervisors, project managers, and technicians
- Working knowledge of ServiceTitan or comparable field service management platforms preferred
- Willingness and ability to work in the field regularly across the LA / Orange County / San Diego metro area
- Strong collaboration skills and demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with sales and business development teams
- Bilingual Spanish is a plus, though not required
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally between job sites and offices as needed
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without future employment sponsorship
