About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Define, develop, and oversee execution of a comprehensive regional go-to-market strategy
  • Support the sales team in achieving short- and long-term revenue targets and territory goals
  • Lead regionalized campaign plans, strategic and tactical adoption plans, multi-channel promotional strategies, territory-specific messaging and positioning, collateral, events, conferences, and sponsorships
  • Collaborate with Sales Leadership to develop and maintain detailed knowledge of regional needs, gaps, obstacles, and opportunities
  • Develop and deliver regional sales events and meetings
  • Build relationships with sales and marketing leaders, Account Executives, and Per Diems across the region
  • Manage marketing strategy and activities for current and upcoming state adoptions, including market research, messaging, collateral, pre-work, state submissions, sampling, district evaluation, piloting, and selling
  • Provide field input to Product Marketing to inform national messaging and marketing activities
  • Manage responses to district questionnaires and product rubrics
  • Lead regional marketing tactics supporting prospecting, lead generation, pipeline building, and opportunity advancement
  • Monitor regional adoptions, RFPs, policy changes, requirements, and developments

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of professional experience in sales within the education publishing industry
  • 5+ years of professional experience in marketing within the education publishing industry
  • 5+ years of professional experience and success in managing complex projects
  • Experience developing and executing campaigns that drive sales
  • Experience with prospecting, lead generation, pipeline building, and closing opportunities
  • Experience writing RFPs and/or rubric responses
  • Experience writing marketing copy, informing and influencing design, managing print production, coordinating print and digital marketing activities, and managing events
  • Experience collaborating with Product Development, Product Management, and Marketing Services teams
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with the Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Google Analytics, Marketing Automation Platforms such as HubSpot and Pardot, WordPress, Adobe, Zoom, and Slack
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional leadership skills with experience managing people
  • Ability to travel 15–20% of the time
  • Ability to work in the United States and satisfy employment verification requirements if hired
