About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead end-to-end learning experience design for managers, leaders, and employees across live, digital, blended, and in-the-flow-of-work formats
- Partner with program owners, the People team, HRBPs, subject-matter experts, and adjacent enablement teams
- Translate business needs, learner needs, and learning objectives into engaging learning journeys
- Develop participant materials, job aids, digital modules, videos, practice activities, storyboards, and other learning assets
- Apply adult learning, instructional design, behavior-change, visual design, interaction design, accessibility, and responsive design principles
- Create inclusive digital learning experiences using authoring tools and WCAG 2.1 AA practices where applicable
- Design and support programs focused on manager capability, leadership, performance management, AI fluency, compliance, career growth, and cross-functional skills
- Use generative AI, structured prompting, and lightweight automation to accelerate content development while applying accuracy, accessibility, privacy, intellectual property, and human-review guardrails
- Build and maintain learning content in the LMS and approved learning platforms and digital tools
- Support publishing, versioning, maintenance, and content lifecycle practices
- Evaluate and improve learning solutions using feedback, participation and engagement data, dashboards, reporting, and Kirkpatrick’s Levels 1–4
- Document repeatable design practices, lessons learned, maintenance approaches, and recommendations to help the Talent Development team scale
- Support Amplify’s mission of creating research-based K–12 literacy, biliteracy, math, and science learning experiences
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in adult learning, instructional design, education, organizational development, human resources, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in learning experience design, instructional design, curriculum design, enablement, or a related field
- Portfolio demonstrating adult learning design across asynchronous, instructor-led, and/or blended experiences
- Strong visual communication, digital content creation, accessibility, and practical application skills
- Knowledge of adult learning, instructional design, behavior-change, and inclusive design practices
- Knowledge of ADDIE or comparable iterative design models and Universal Design for Learning principles
- Ability to translate ambiguous requests into learning objectives, experience maps, design concepts, and finished deliverables
- Experience partnering with subject-matter experts and stakeholders and incorporating feedback
- Project management and operational skills, including managing timelines, priorities, dependencies, reviews, and deliverables across multiple projects
- Experience using learning management platforms, digital authoring tools, collaboration tools, and presentation or design software
- Experience with LearnUpon, Articulate Storyline/Rise, Easy Generator, Captivate, Camtasia, and Google Workspace or comparable tools
- Ability to apply prompt design, reusable prompt patterns, human-in-the-loop review, output evaluation, and lightweight automation
- Demonstrated writing, communication, relationship-building, and influence skills
- Background check required if selected
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Professional Instructional/Learning Design certification from a recognized institution (preferred)
- Experience designing manager, leadership, performance-management, career-development, or employee enablement programs (preferred)
- Experience in a remote-first or distributed organization (preferred)
- Experience with integrated people technology ecosystems and learning management or learning experience platforms (preferred)
- Familiarity with Culture Amp or similar tools (preferred)
- Experience with knowledge-management practices and content lifecycle management (preferred)
