About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Drive sales performance and achieve business objectives within an assigned territory
  • Promote and educate healthcare professionals on approved products
  • Build trusted relationships with physicians, healthcare providers, pharmacies, clinics, hospitals, and other key customer accounts
  • Develop and maintain strategic territory plans
  • Deliver balanced, accurate, and compliant product presentations using approved promotional materials
  • Establish and maintain productive relationships with healthcare providers and key stakeholders
  • Execute targeted call plans and maintain appropriate call frequency
  • Identify opportunities to expand product utilization while addressing customer needs and clinical considerations
  • Manage and document product sample distribution in compliance with Company policy and PDMA requirements
  • Maintain accurate customer records, territory information, and sales activity documentation
  • Utilize approved sales and marketing resources to communicate product value
  • Develop comprehensive knowledge of assigned therapeutic areas, disease states, and product indications
  • Apply the Company's sales methodology, including DiSC communication principles
  • Conduct pre-call planning and post-call analysis
  • Analyze territory performance data, account insights, and sales reports
  • Leverage approved business development resources and promotional budgets
  • Complete expense reports, call reporting, and administrative requirements
  • Document customer interactions and sales activities in the Veeva CRM system
  • Monitor and respond to company communications and email correspondence daily
  • Care for, maintain, and secure company-issued equipment and fleet vehicles
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards
  • Participate in sales meetings, training programs, conference calls, and professional development activities
  • Support patient-focused programs and initiatives
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned
  • Travel throughout the assigned Western Texas territory, including healthcare offices, clinics, hospitals, pharmacies, and other customer locations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, Healthcare, or a related field required
  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience may be considered
  • Minimum of one (1) year of healthcare, medical device, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences sales experience
  • Pharmaceutical sales experience preferred
  • Specialty pharmacy experience preferred
  • Experience supporting limited distribution products preferred
  • Experience calling on specialty physicians and healthcare providers preferred
  • Consultative selling techniques
