About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead payer contract modeling activities and govern reimbursement models across markets and service lines
  • Remain actively engaged in complex reimbursement modeling, financial analysis, and payer negotiation support
  • Mentor and develop team members in modeling methodologies and analytical best practices
  • Direct chargemaster development, maintenance, and pricing governance
  • Partner with departmental leadership on price transparency reporting, dashboards, and market intelligence
  • Oversee aggregation, validation, and interpretation of pricing and reimbursement data
  • Lead analytics staff to support department and organizational goals
  • Establish standards, controls, and governance processes for payer modeling, reimbursement analytics, chargemaster management, and price transparency reporting
  • Represent Health Plan Relations on integration committees for acquisitions, de novo centers, mergers, and center consolidations
  • Lead ad hoc reimbursement analyses and analytical projects requested by leadership
  • Drive continuous improvement through talent development, process optimization, reporting enhancements, and advancement of analytical tools and technologies

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in health care or health plan analytics
  • Expertise in healthcare industry, managed care contracts, reimbursement methodologies, and pricing strategies
  • Demonstrated ability to build and audit sophisticated financial models
  • Ability to analyze large healthcare datasets
  • Ability to develop reporting solutions and translate findings into actionable business recommendations
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Advanced Excel skills required
  • Strong Microsoft Office, Access, relational databases, and reporting tools a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to design, develop, and implement routine and custom reporting
  • Ability to effectively communicate with C-suite and executive leadership
  • Excellence in delivering projects on time through a structured project management approach
  • Working knowledge of ambulatory surgery payer contract methodologies
  • Expertise in Excel-based modeling, analysis, financial reporting or data analytics required
  • Experience leading a team to achieve business objectives
  • Advanced degree (MBA, MHA, or equivalent) preferred
