About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work closely with Center Leadership and the IT Leadership Team to evaluate, plan, execute, and transition IT support to the AMSURG Managed IT Services Team
- Discover existing systems and workflows at surgery centers
- Create transition plans and communications
- Transition services and document environments for IT Service Delivery to assume operational support
- Design Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Azure solutions for migration from on-premises systems to the cloud
- Build relationships with Operations Leads, Center Leaders, and existing IT providers
- Evaluate center IT security and provide guidance
- Evaluate IT contracts and provide guidance
- Conduct site visits to evaluate, document, and plan migrations
- Create documentation for center configurations and systems
- Understand and communicate AMSURG IT Services’ value and offerings
- Architect, build, and secure Microsoft 365 and Azure strategies, including Azure Virtual Networks, Azure Virtual Machines, and Azure Virtual Network Gateways
- Monitor Azure subscriptions to keep solutions within budget guidelines
- Work with existing IT providers to gather information for transition to the Service Delivery team
- Evaluate IT equipment against company standards and recommend replacements
- Evaluate and document networks and dependencies, including VPN connectivity, VLANs, and vendor equipment
- Evaluate and document server infrastructure and line-of-business applications
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field
- Commensurate work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- 7+ years of IT experience in an enterprise environment
- Project management experience
- 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365
- Administration, architecture, and management experience
- Server management experience
- Hypervisor experience managing VMware ESXi and/or Microsoft Hyper-V Server
- Network infrastructure experience
- Knowledge of risk assessment tools, systems, and application architecture
- Ability to understand, read, write, and speak English
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations
- Ability to write business correspondence
- Ability to present information and respond to questions professionally
- Ability to recognize and define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and correct errors
- Ability to understand and interpret basic financial data
- Ability to handle multiple simultaneous tasks effectively and efficiently
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented and organized
- High integrity and ability to maintain confidential information
- Good judgment and ability to positively influence and lead others
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends, based on business need
- Regular and reliable attendance
- Prior healthcare experience preferred
