About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage the physician and provider recruitment cycle from start to finish
- Develop, maintain, and expand business relationships with AMSURG Practice Partners and Operations Leadership Team
- Analyze physician volume and practice needs to support strategic recruitment plans
- Recommend recruitment, alignment, sourcing, interviewing, and contract-closing strategies
- Profile and consult practices upon assignment of new opportunities
- Maintain knowledge of assigned practice markets, demographics, competitors, statistics, and licensing timelines
- Ensure physician compensation plans are market competitive
- Source candidates through cold calling, emailing, networking, specialty associations, recruiting resources, and residency/fellowship programs
- Manage prospective physician and provider recruits from beginning to hire
- Maintain accurate job descriptions and advertising promotions
- Follow and provide input on candidate-throughput processes
- Discuss open vacancies with prospective candidates and deliver exceptional customer service
- Participate in and manage on-site practice interviews as needed
- Negotiate and support negotiations with prospective candidates
- Provide prompt updates and communication to stakeholders during contract negotiations
- Work within recruitment budgets allocated to vacancies
- Ensure 100% compliance with candidate data entry in the proprietary database
- Maintain job knowledge through education, professional publications, networking, and professional organizations
- Follow company policies, code of conduct, compliance requirements, and mandatory training
- Report suspected corporate compliance, policy, harassment, or prohibited-activity violations
- Obtain policy clarification through Compliance, Human Resources, or Legal resources when necessary
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree from a four-year College or University and 7 or more years of related experience; or 20+ years of non-clinical recruiting or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with Recruitment/Applicant Tracking Systems, preferably Bullhorn
- Proficient in understanding the day-to-day work of the medical specialties and physician practices that AMSURG represents
- Proficient in the local and regional communities where AMSURG owns and/or manages practices
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Experience working independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Strong interpersonal and account management/project management skills
- Ability to make decisions in a rapidly growing, professional, service-oriented environment
- Knowledge of recruitment terminology, specialty terminology, and abbreviations
- Knowledge of physician compensation resources and trends, including MGMA, AGMA, and Sullivan Cotter guidelines
