About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the primary resource for surgery center personnel regarding financial issues
  • Manage cash inflow and outflow for assigned ambulatory surgery centers
  • Maintain the proprietary cash management system for depository bank accounts
  • Facilitate movement of funds to appropriate bank accounts
  • Create general ledger journal entries for financial statement preparation
  • Prepare and review assigned centers' cash flow statements
  • Analyze monthly financial packages and report significant variations to management
  • Reconcile fixed asset costs and accumulated depreciation accounts
  • Review physical inventory counts and record appropriate general ledger entries
  • Perform income statement trend analysis and prepare notes for management review
  • Conduct mid-month cash analysis and distribute available cash to partners
  • Reconcile bank accounts from bank statements to the general ledger
  • Investigate and correct reconciliation differences and identify cash control issues
  • Train center personnel on best practices when irregularities are identified
  • Analyze and reconcile balance sheet and accounts receivable balances
  • Analyze and record center payroll and benefits
  • Assist with payroll and benefit transitions
  • Audit internal documentation for legal agreements, leases, and debt maintenance
  • Research and assist with specific center analyses
  • Monitor and implement corrections to incorrect center practices

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university
  • Public accounting or industry experience is a plus
  • Healthcare experience is a plus
  • Ability to handle multiple simultaneous tasks effectively and efficiently
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • High integrity, including maintenance of confidential information
  • Ability to exercise good judgment
  • Regular and reliable attendance
  • Must be able to work onsite when requested
  • Must pass a background check and drug screen
