About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage recording and progress of underwriting submissions by the US and UK underwriting teams
  • Monitor the submission recording system for timely and accurate updates
  • Oversee use of reinsurance capacity per transaction with underwriters according to Underwriting Guidelines and Reinsurer Risk Appetite
  • Manage internal and external communications and approvals required to proceed with transactions
  • Finalize documents with underwriters and ensure signatures and required information are received
  • Coordinate with Operations to ensure prompt binding and recording of deals in systems
  • Organize and accurately file deal documents according to underwriter guidelines and corporate protocols
  • Maintain underwriting files, including endorsements, amendments, and correspondence in online policy files
  • Liaise with Operations, Finance, and Accounting regarding billing, reserving, and premium monitoring
  • Manage premium schedules, invoices, payment collection, and processing
  • Communicate with brokers to administer transactions and resolve open questions
  • Process policy amendments and changes and update policy recording systems
  • Prepare, circulate, and analyze reports; identify inconsistencies and follow up on required actions
  • Review and distribute monthly bordereaux and related reports to reinsurers
  • Maintain underwriting reference materials
  • Support development and use of the new underwriting system

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 2–5 years of active experience within the insurance sector
  • Exceptionally organized and disciplined to thrive in a remote work environment
  • Strong time-management skills and ability to maintain peak productivity with minimal direct supervision
  • Exceptional English interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to navigate internal and external networks to advocate for the business unit
  • Ability to adhere strictly to operational protocols with commitment to high-quality output and client service
  • Expert-level proficiency across the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Dedicated, collaborative team player
  • Direct experience or foundational knowledge in Credit & Political Risk insurance (preferred)
  • Advanced project planning capabilities and proven ability to organize, prioritize, and control deliverables amid fluid, overlapping, or conflicting deadlines (preferred)
