Key responsibilities & impact

  • Review designs and propose changes to improve safety, quality, installation time, and cost
  • Participate in technical training of site teams
  • Document technical expertise and best practices
  • Ensure safe execution of work
  • Perform instrument functionality verification at project sites
  • Start up auxiliary systems
  • Complete quality records as work progresses
  • Plan and support pre-commissioning with field instrumentation technicians
  • Support site teams with technical issues and challenges
  • Collaborate to resolve complex problems

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or relevant experience
  • Availability to work on project sites in the USA and overseas
  • Good understanding of electro-mechanical systems
  • Ability to multitask and shift between multiple projects and initiatives with tight deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, teamwork skills, and autonomy
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Ability to travel 75%+ for project support
  • Proficiency in DasyLab or other data acquisition software considered an asset
  • Understanding and knowledge of IEEE Std 115 and/or IEEE Std 1248 considered an asset
  • Electrical or mechanical installation experience considered an asset
