About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead, develop, and engage the software development team
  • Foster a collaborative environment, people development, productivity, and delivery quality
  • Lead recruitment and selection, onboarding, performance management, feedback, and individual development plans
  • Manage operational capacity, workload allocation, prioritization, vacations, working hours, time off in lieu, and resource availability
  • Identify training needs and promote continuous development
  • Manage and improve software development processes, methodologies, and practices
  • Guide teams in applying agile methodologies, particularly Scrum
  • Monitor delivery planning and execution, ensuring deadlines, requirements, and quality standards are met
  • Support the team in adapting to tools, technologies, processes, and working models
  • Ensure and continuously improve Secure Software Development Life Cycle (SSDLC) processes, including CMMI
  • Participate in strategic decisions regarding the evolution of Metris
  • Facilitate alignment between the development team and other departments
  • Encourage innovation and assess applications of artificial intelligence to optimize processes and solutions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Advanced English proficiency, with the ability to communicate in a professional environment
  • Solid software development experience, preferably with C#
  • Knowledge of other programming languages is desirable
  • Knowledge of software architecture, Design Patterns, and software development best practices
  • Experience with version control tools, particularly Git
  • Experience with agile methodologies and Scrum practices
  • Experience in project management, activity planning, and delivery tracking
  • Knowledge of or experience with Secure Software Development Life Cycle (SSDLC) processes and maturity models such as CMMI
  • Experience in people management, including team development, performance management, feedback, and demand and resource management
  • Experience managing change and leading teams through organizational, technological, or process transformation
  • Experience with or participation in artificial intelligence implementation and application initiatives
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Systems Analysis and Development, or a related field
  • A postgraduate degree or specialization is considered an asset
